Canada – Alberta’s Banff Mountains

Banff is like the picture-perfect location of wilderness and mountain peaks. It is a few hours of the road from Calgary, the capital city of Alberta. The little town is surrounded by these gigantic mountains that will just take your breath away every second you take a look at the horizon. The 2 main peaks to remember here are Mt. Cascade and Mt. Rundle, which almost seem like they are touching the sky. Moreover, Banff is the ideal destination for fans of snowboarding and skiing, or for anybody who wants to simply walk in one of the most beautiful national parks in the world.

Hawaii – Honolulu

Pearl Harbor, the Diamond Head crater, the paradisiac scenery of the beaches, and the snorkeling spot at Hanauma Bay should suffice to make you want to visit this beautiful place at least once in your lifetime. So many movies have been filmed there, including the recent Jumanji reboot with The Rock Johnson, which was mainly filmed at the Kualoa Ranch nature reserve in 2016.

Japan – Kyoto

Okay, it is true that most people will tell you to go visit Tokyo first before visiting anything else in Japan, but, that doesn’t mean you should do what other people tell you to do! Kyoto was once the capital of Japan and is located west of Tokyo. It is famous for its more traditional and natural approach to life, as you will see amazing wooden houses, temples, imperial palaces, and Shinto shrines. The food over there, as always, is amazing! Don’t miss out on the Gion district, the main place to be if you want to see a geisha.

France – Nice

With its Baroque stylish buildings, and its fantastic beaches and weather, you can’t go wrong with a visit to the city of Nice in France. The latter is located not too far from the Italian borders, so you can easily visit many things not only in France but also in Italy during the same trip.

The best things to do in Nice are certainly a visit to la Promenade des Anglais, or a visit to the Old Town, and of course, a visit to the incredible Castle Hill. So if you’re tired of always hearing everything about Paris and the Eiffel Tower, and that you would like to see something different in France, then Nice is a perfect destination for you.

Thailand – Phi Phi Island

Phi Phi Island is one of the most popular islands in Asia, and maybe in the world as well! The water has an emerald-like color, and if you go on a boat, you will be surrounded by weirdly-shaped mountains and caves. You can jump in the water with the fish and corals, and you can take pictures at the Phi Phi Island Viewpoint. Moreover, you can even go for some rock climbing or eat traditional Southern Thai cuisine.

Finally, you may or may not be able to visit the famous Viking Cave, depending on the current restrictions. That being said, if you can, it is worth every penny! This cave got its name from paintings that were found on the walls from the cave that represented a Viking Ship. Some people think that Vikings could have used this cave as a shelter during an intense storm.

United States – New York

Now, this is a city where there are always a lot of things to do! New York is full of activities and monuments to visit, thus why it made its way to our list. Between Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Statue of Liberty, Time Square, or the Brooklyn Bridge, a trip to New York is never a bad idea! So much to explore and so little time, but at least now you have a couple of ideas to get started.

Italy – Rome and the Colosseum

It’s without a doubt that if you see a list of the best destinations in the world, Rome has to be in there, right? With the amazing food and traditional markets aside, just a visit to the Pantheon or of the Roman Forum will make your jaw drop to the floor! And let’s not forget the Pisa Tower that’s located not too far from the main city. Finally, the star of the show here is obviously the famous Colosseum. The latter is usually open to tourists from 9 am to 4:30 pm every day. The cost for an entry ticket, on the other hand, will set you back just a few euros, 12 euros to be exact.

And that was our last destination and our conclusion to this list of the world’s most famous places to visit.
